Clearspring überholt Gigya

Manchmal geht es schneller als man denkt: Wie erst in der letzten Woche berichtet, gibt es ein Kopf-an-Kopf Rennen zwischen Clearspring und Gigya, um den 1. Platz des größten Widget-Netzwerks. Clearspring hat sich nun den Titel zurückerobert. Mit 254 Millionen Unique Visitors im September 08 (ein Anstieg von 59 Prozent (!) von August zu September) überholte Clearspring laut Comscore Gigya deutlich und liegt nun um 93 Millionen Visitors vor Gigya. Dies würde allerdings bedeuten, dass Gigya in den letzten Monaten absolut an Reichweite eingebüßt hätte (Zweifel sind wahrscheinlich angebracht).

Die Entwicklung kommentiert CEO und Co-Founder Hooman Radfar folgendermaßen:

“These rankings signal a much larger trend in the social media industry,” said Hooman Radfar, chief executive officer and co-founder of Clearspring. “The comScore report helps validate our supposition that content sharing has emerged as a mainstream form of online communication with various opportunities for advertisers to reach an important and growing audience on the social Web.”

Clearspring hat parallel auch eine neue Version des Launchpads bekannt gegeben, das für die Verbreitung der Widgets zuständig ist. In der neuen Version ist das Look and Feel des Launchpads indivduell anpassbar und es gibt neue Möglichkeiten zur Verbreitung derWidgets.

“Sharing is becoming an increasingly important part of today’s online experience and our mission is to provide publishers with the tools that offer the most flexibility and control for sharing their content,” said Hooman Radfar, Clearspring’s chief executive officer. “This beta version of Launchpad isn’t just better, it’s smarter. It gives end users a more personalized experience, where social destinations are presented in order of the user’s historical sharing preferences. For example, if you regularly post content to Facebook and MySpace, those destinations will appear at the top of your sharing menu.”
